Audio Samples we called it... showreel is the in house expression...
and that's what it's all about in this business, everyone says they can produce the
goods but here is an opportunity to allow the goods to speak for themselves, and in
doing so we hope you'll be impressed enough to book us and then you'll be even more
amazed at the low budget plans we have produced in order to create these recordings
in the quite financially strained music arts field, especially when one considers
the capital cost for the best microphones and the ever increasing investments for
complex computer equipment upgrades...
and well yes... frankly speaking...
often we too wonder why...
So please listen to our showreels and... um... was it mentioned that you'll need a device
called Real Audio attached to your computer?
If this doesn't sound at all familiar to you
then please click on here to look around RealAudio.com for its FREE
Basic Player and then after installing it and after rebooting a few thousand times
please come back here and at your pleasure listen to some of our showreels.
Take note that you'll find the pay version is displayed prominently at the top of the page
but if you scroll down to the bottom of the page you should see a small link to the free
basic version.
If you need to get and install this Free version of the Real Audio Player please
read with care and be especially be observant with regard to pre-ticked Tick-Boxes
which may easily attach you to various subscription mailing lists from the Real Audio
company and its business partners (and more subscription boxes appear during the installation).
Regards, Paul and Mimi.
The current trend for internet audio streaming is for the MP3 format but with the
low bit rates required for average people with average dial-up internet connections
I find the timbre of the MP3 process is neither suitable for listening to choral music
nor for listening to orchestral music and it is very unkind towards soprano soloists.
My trained golden ears had made me decide that the Real Audio
audio format is currently more suitable for listening to fine music via the internet.
But although timbre of the new Microsoft Windows Media Player 7 audio format
streaming at 20bits/sec should be also on par with that of the MP3 format, I now feel
it has a clearer sound for solo voice and softer choral passages but surely needs much
improvement for louder choral singing and especially with regard to continous percussive
impact noise such as hand clapping.
